Web Hosting

Drift2 Web Services only recommends high-quality web hosting solutions; we only partner with hosting companies that offer a high-quality hosting solution.

We believe you get what pay for, and the cheapest host out there is not always the best route to go. There are a few things to look for in a lousy host and an excellent host.

Over Selling – Most hosting companies offer you large amounts of space and bandwidth, which are hardly ever used, because of this they can resell or oversell the area you purchased. For example, a hosting company might have a server that can hold 1000GB space on their hard drives and they offer plans of 10gb. If everyone used all their area, you could only have 100 users on that server. Now not everyone will use 10GB, let’s just say the average is 2gb per account, which allows the host to fit 500 accounts on one server.

Unlimited – We believe that there is no such thing is universal in the hosting world. No hard drive would allow infinite hard drive space. Bandwidth is limited to connection speed and how fast the hard drives can spool your data. The reason they can say unlimited is that they throttle you in other ways. One way, they limit your processing and ram which defines how many hits you receive.
